Relations between Italy and the Russian Federation continue to be excellent in all fields. In 2010 the bilateral trade between two countries has increased substantially since 2009, and this year the positive trend continues with rapid paces. The industrial cooperation between two countries involves both large enterprises, such as medium and small. Both economies are complementary and can offer mutually beneficial business opportunities. Russia is a rapidly changing country, and few people know that. Its economy has just embarked on an ambitious transformation aimed at innovation and modernization. The strategy undertaken by the Russian government aims to overcome the dependence on oil, gas, metals and other facilities and to create an industrial development based on products with higher added value and innovation in sectors with greater technological content and design. The purpose of the Forum organized by “Conoscere Eurasia” Association with the sponsorship of the Italian Council of Ministers and with the support of the Senate of Russia (Federation Council) is the exchange of experiences for the technological growth of quality linked to series of infrastructure in industry, agriculture and services. The challenge is to significantly increase volume of trade between Italy and Russia, to share innovative products, machinery and equipment. The Forum will be attended by Italian and Russian Ministers of Economic Development and Agriculture, the Minister of Energy and Energy Agency of Russia (REA). Moreover, the Russian side confirmed presence of numerous public and private companies including: Rusnano, Russian Technologies State Corporation, Skolkovo Fund, National Research Centre Kurchatov Institute, Gazprombank, Gazprom, Renova Group, Accenture, Rusal and Basic Element. The Italian side will be represented by Intesa Sanpaolo, Avelar Energy, Finmeccanica, Italian Synergies, Aeneas, New Passenger Transport and other large, medium and small companies.
